?Crusaders offense starts to click as Northwest cruises to a Homecoming win

?The Crusaders came out on fire Friday night in front of a packed house for the Homecoming game against the Lancers of Oakland Christian. The Crusaders scored 26 points in the first half holding the Lancers to only six points off of a short pass that went the distance. The Crusaders amassed 458 yards of offense while holding Oakland Christian to only 170, with 40 of those coming from the Lancers scoring play through the air. The Northwest ground attack couldn't be stopped as they ran for over 300 yards. Junior Danny Macks had 185 yards on 20 carries and Junior Zack Alkire had 102 yards on 17 carries. Zack was also 10 of 15 for 135 yards through the air. Freshman Jake Justice once again led the receivers with 4 receptions for 72 yards followed by his brother Senior Michael Justice who had 35 yards on 4 receptions. Macks once again led the defense with 16 tackles and Alkire registered 14 with 1 sack. Max Preps Congratulated  #4 Daniel Macks (overall), #50 Rylan Riethmeier (offensive), #24 Paul Rosa (defensive) and #15 Zack Alkire (special teams) for being selected the Lutheran Northwest Football Players of the Game.? Northwest hopes to continue to work towards a play-off birth as they take on Parkway Christian next Friday night at Fraser High School's field at 7pm.
