Lutheran Northwest dropped a tough game to Conference Rival Parkway Christian Friday night. Northwest went into half-time up by 10 and seemingly in control. The third quarter proved to be a difficult quarter for the Crusaders as they only had one offensive possession which resulted in a safety. The Crusaders were led by Junior Zack Alkire who had 271 yards on the ground, followed closely by Junior Danny Macks who rushed for 192 yards. Danny also had 15 tackles on the night and recovered a fumble which he returned for a touchdown. The Crusaders passing attack was not up to par as the Crusaders on gained 40 yards on 5 completions over 15 attempts. The Crusaders now with 3 losses hope to re-group and win the rest of their games this season to make the play-offs for a third consecutive year, 7 out of the last 9 years. Max Preps recognized #12 Mike Justice (overall), #63 Devin Mong (offensive) and #24 Paul Rosa (defensive) for being selected the Lutheran Northwest Football Players of the Game.
